Why don't more restaurants in America sell poutine?

  • I have relatives in Canada and I'm addicted to poutine whenever I visit. I get it everywhere, and it gets better every time I go.

Why won't fast food restaurants and other restaurants here sell it?

  • Poutine is a staple in Quebec, but is only just beginning to move out to other areas, even in Canada.

I still remember seeing it for the first time, and I live in Canada! That was only around 15 years ago. Now, many fast food places have it (at least here). McDonald's tried it (I believe), but it did not sell well enough to continue, except in Quebec. Other fast food places like Harvey's, and New York Fries do have it.

I know a Lebanese guy who is opening a poutine place in his home country, so, maybe some day it will be everywhere. Perhaps you could set up a poutine business where you are. Who knows, you could make a million!

  • OMG I just read what this is - UGH it is so disgusting and unhealthy. We have enough bad food in America without introducing that as well.

  • because no one knows what it is.
