Enjoy your routings! :)
TORONTO, June 30, 2006 - Air Canada advises that thunderstorm activity in the Toronto area may result in delays and cancellations of flights arriving and departing Toronto.
It is recommended that customers with flights to and/or from Toronto check on the status of their flight prior to leaving for the airport by consulting the Air Canada web site at aircanada.com, or by calling Air Canada's automated flight information system at 1-888-422-7533, or by using a web-enhanced cell phone.
My friend's 2 bags were missing for 5 days...she just got them yesterday. The baggage call centre was most unhelpful. :td:
Well the legs definitely -- the miles maybe not!
on 1158 a few hours behind you and the delay was about 90 minutes. Of course, most of that time was taken on a scenic tour of the infield de-icing facility and all of the taxiways between it and Terminal 1... :p
Did they run out of alcohol? :D :D :D
Open Bar?? Where? We did get regular supplies of drinking water and regular announcements.
So did you have an open bar in J on the ground for those three hours? :D
Did they run out of alcohol? :D :D :D
(a) I actually make it to Toronto in time to pack and catch my flight and...
(b) That my Tokyo (via YVR) isn't cancelled...
...some days I hate travelling more than others...
As a result of the inconvenience, can you get re-booked from NYC to NRT non-stop? :D
I was supposed to fly out on Thursday night (29th) at 7:35 from Newark to Toronto. That was cancelled and I was put on a flight at 6:25 am from Newark on July 1 (2 days later!). Too many Super Elites ahead of me to get a decent rebooking, I guess.
Just got a call that apparently my 6:25 am flight was cancelled because they never got the equipment into Newark. So now I am flying out of West Chester County - Whiteplains at 1:25pm.
The pisser is that I have a flight at 8:25am on Sunday morning to Tokyo. I'm just hoping that:

This is a bit of a joke! My wife and I were booked on a 9:00 pm YYZ-YSJ flight last night. I checked online at 6:00 pm and the flight was shown as "on time". I printed our boarding passes and cabbed it to Pearson ($45 cab fare). Upon checking in we were informed that our flight was cancelled! I have no problem with the cancellation (sh** happens) - it's the fact that I relied on AC's website and made the trip to the airport based on information AC provided. To make matters worse, we were unable to rebook today (Friday) and are stuck leaving Saturday afternoon. Again, I can live with this (lots of people were in the same boat as us). I'm just completely frustrated that I'm out of pocked for cab fares because I relied on AC's advice.
My flight AC144 CCG to YUL was cancelled about an hour before departure on Friday June 30. Luckily I was in J and not in a rush.
Air Canada put me up at the Delta right in the airport and gave me a meal voucher. I flew out 7:15am on Saturday morning without any delays.
The irony was at the time that they had the code red, the sun was shining brightly down on us.
