2007 SE Requalification Thread

  • I wasn't sure whether to put :) or  as the message icon for this, especially for someone who did not fly whatsoever before April 2000 and the AC FoF course.

    Nevertheless.

    July 4th.

Status: Air Canada Super Elite For 2006 For 2005
Air Canada Status Miles Earned 100058 118475
Air Canada Status Flight Segments Flown 61 64

  • Around 25K to go but not sure how much more flying I'll be doing this year.

  • I didn't take any free Q-miles this year either but only need another 10K! :)

  • Around 16,896/4 so far this year. Not likely to requalify. Will likely be traveling more again in the next 16 months so I make sure I hit E for lounge access and instant re-qualification next year.

  • At over 80K Q miles and over 70 segments. Will easily top the requirements for both segments and miles earlier than usual for SE status. :)

im at 46,000 miles and 56 segments :S.... going to be tough, but i think i'll do it! clocking 15 segments a month.

  • Should hit 100k by the end of July....

Say it is not so??? Whats up?

  • Only at 48K and, regretfully, did not take the 10K bonus option. My projection as of now is to be at 66,585 with scheduled travel by the end of the year. Will have to make the tough decision of whether to take a couple of MR's this fall. Two MR's last November YVR-SYD-AKL-SYD-YVR, and YVR-YYZ-LHR-YYZ-YVR put me over the top last year but am not sure I want to spend $3,000 to do the trick this year.

  • Currently have travel ticketed that will put me at 70K Q/36 segments at 15SEPT. Should be OK to just get over 100K by year's end.

  • Wouldn't it be nice is Air Canada was customer focused and could roll over your excess SE (over 100K) to the following year and work on a 2 year cycle..like LH, TG ...... you know.. the good airlines

It sure would - I'm pretty annoyed about this right now. Oh well, it'll make it easier for me to move to another * airline if I relocate rather than using Toronto as a hub

  • Not all flown ( since I took the 10K Q miles selection), but I went over 100 K
    in May.

  • Curently at 75,000 and will be at 90,000 by the end of the month. I haven't been flying AC...so no 100% bonus miles, I fly to Europe once a month on Swiss...next year will be my last as a SE with AP, I plan to join Miles and More in september.

  • Some would be considered royalty while others would be considered a royal pain in ... ... ......... ;) :p :D

(not meant to be directed at any individual and any similarity to those here, real or not,is totally unintentional :) )

  • I took the 10k, but I'm at 89,016 and 26 segments and I only had one business trip (to Bangkok) so far this year, the rest was personal.

You'e starting to remind me of a certain Centre of the Universe based royalty member.

  • I'm at about 88,000; summer slowdown will bring me to about 95,000 end of July. However, there's about 25,000 happening right off the bat for Sept. and Oct. so it's not an issue of *not* making it.

  • Still need about 20K. Should be there by October if not sooner.

  • Currently at 57 k. Passed the 50 k threshold precisely on July 1. :D

Ticketed to get 70k, 55 segments, by Aug. 1. Already scheduled travel should get me around 85k by mid-September. After that, a wedding in Taiwan in November. Also supposedly a meeting in Holland mid-December that I might try to find an excuse to bail out from. Assuming the Taiwan trip gets me over 100k that is.

  • I didn't take any free Q-miles this year, but I passed 100K at the end of June. And I made 100 segments yesterday, just for good measure! :)

  • I think I'll be able to do it.

At the beginning of August, I'll be at 70k. And I still have 2 SSWU's for a potential HKG run...

    Saweet!

  • My butt is sore just thinking about it  , when you hit 200K I will reserve a place for you at the spa (http://www.atsumihealing.com/index.php) :D!

  • At 61k now with 10k in August. Wilkl need a couple weekend theatre trips to LHR in Nov Dec. but will make sure I get there.

    86

  • Still plugging away - 85,000 - 40 segments

  • Will cross the threshold by JULY 14 th--the earliest I have done it to date.
