What accessories do i have to buy for my wii when i get one?

  • I was hoping to go out and buy a Nintendo wii at the weekend and wondered what accessories you have to have for it. Do i need to buy a separate datel wireless sensor bar for it (if so why? and what does it do?) and do i have to have a wireless sonsor battery? Do i need to buy component AV cables? IN OTHER WORDS WHAT ACCESSORIES DO I NEED TO BUY WHEN I GO OUT AND BUY MY WII AT THE WEEKEND?

  • extra controls. we have a Wireless hub. my son just connected to it.we didn't buy anything to do that. av's came with it just set it up and on he went.

when i say WIRELESS hub i mean for going on line.
it does come with the Sensor bar for the controls to work.

  • If you own an HDTV (or at least a tv capable of Progressive Scan, or 480p output), then a Component cable will improve picture quality.

A wireless sensor bar is completely optional.

If you don't already have a wireless network router hooked up to your internet connection, I would recommend that, since it's the easiest way to get your Wii online - a decent one should only cost US$30-50.

You may also want to pick up some extra controllers - the Wii comes with one Wii remote, and one nunchuk attachment. Eventually, you may want 3 more of each, but one extra of each wouldn't hurt.

If you plan on using your Wii to play older Gamecube games, then you will need a Gamecube controller and a gamecube memory card. The GC controller can also be used in some Wii games such as Mario Kart Wii, or Super Smash Bros. Brawl., as well as SNES and N64 Virtual Console titles (and a couple WiiWare games as well). You should be able to find some used for cheap.

  • YES! you have to buy a game with it, the shops won't sell it unless you buy a game with it.
You can get a £20 game with it. or a £40 game with it.
    you don't need ANYTHING else.
    Accessories are optional.

p.s The sensor bar is the thing that picks up the remotes signal.

  • Uhh... Nothing. Everything comes with the Wii box you buy it in. The only thing youll need to buy is a 2nd wiimote and nun chuck for second player. Other then that, the Wii remotes take AA batteries and the sensor bar doesnt take batteries. Av cables come with it, sensor bar too, wii mote, the wii, nun chuck, cover, stand. And a free Wii Sports game.

  • you dont need very much. i would buy and extra wii remote and nunchuck, or more depending on how many people will play the wii at one time. i would also get some games, i would recommend guitar hero or super smash brothers brawl. you dont need much else than that, all of the cables are included, and you dont really need an extra sensor bar. i think the wireless ones are less sensitive and not as accurate anyways, so you might not want to get one of those. if you have high speed internet and want to play games with people around the world, you should buy a wifi adapter that plugs into the usb port on your computer. that should be all you need. have fun!

  • You shouldn't need to buy anything else.

The sensor bar comes with the unit, and plugs into the Wii so no batteries required.

The wii can connect to your TV via a scart socket on component cable not really required, but this can give a better picture quality

The only thing I would suggest is try and grab a copy of Wii play, this is an extra game disc and comes with another wii remote - Half the fun of the wii is playing with friends!!!

  • nothing, the wii comes with everything you need(even batteries for the wii mote!)

never, ever! buy those stupid accessories like a fishing poke or sports thing

really if you don't want to buy anything extra, nothing

the wireless sensor is for a tv far a way from an outlet for the wii...so really nothing

and to answer your quesion= nothing
