Your business is an organism and as such it requires energy to live. More specifically, it requires your energy to live and thrive. Faulty attempts to market and build a business can cause many to disengage themselves emotionally due to frustration and fear. Their enthusiasm is weakening so their positive intention has been diminished to deperation and dim hope. All reasonable attempts to continue marketing the business are falling by the wayside.
A business that is not marketed is a business that is dying.
One of the most misunderstood components in business is marketing, yet it is one of the most important. In my writings I have proposed that business is comprised of three things, products/services, managment, and marketing. Everything else falls under those categories. I will summarize it this way. It does not matter how wonderful your product is, if you can not manage your business no-one will care, and if you can not market your business, no-one will know it exists.
Marketing is designed to do a couple of things. The first is to attract those who fit your product or service offering. The second is to begin to demonstrate value or benefit to your prospect. Most people are stalled at the point of trying to figure out where to find their customers. Here is a simple clue - How did you become a customer? Somehow you were attracted to these products and services. Something clicked in you that said, this makes sense. So the question may be, how do you find more people like you?
Here is an excercise you can do. Spend just 10-15 minutes thinking about your products and services. Think of all the benefits you can and start to imagine people who are happily realizing the benefit of what you offer. This may sound a little silly but trust me this works. I do not want you to just imagine these people, I want you to start to feel their pleasure and excitement. Envision how you will feel as you witness them enjoying your product or service. Really feel it!
Do this for 10-15 minutes a day and something very powerful will happen. You will start to get inspired ideas on where to find these people and how to attract them to you. Soon you will be surrounded by them. How does this work? That is a discussion for another article but just try it - what do you have to lose?
I would love to make this more complicated but that would just frustrate you. Simplicity is a key to success.
As you perform the task I outlined above in an authentic way you will also find your mind buzzing ith new ideas about how you can reach your target market. You may even be reminded of old ideas that you abandoned.
This is the beauty of becoming present with your true intention and allowing your greatest desires to come to pass.
