i have this old mirror i want to make it into a collage of pics but its taking to long to sit and scrape it with a razor ! so i wanted to know what will take it off easier? thanks to who ever can help meTry lacquer thinner or paint remover. If that doesn't work maybe a paint stripper (kinda like a blow dryer that gets a lot hotter with a putty knife attached).NOT gonna happencant the glass has silver and black paint and I don't thing even if you were able to remove it it would be clear. You could get a piece of glass cut to fit.Now I have seen this done on the back get a piece of sand paper and rub it .This will remove areas of the mirror and this is a super funky way to insert photos or prints..To try and remove all the mirror silver is just not good idea.Don't waste your time. Not only will it take forever, but you'll never truly get a clean view.
Opt instead for going to a glass store. Have a piece cut to size. Often, they have leftovers that just may suit your frame (and will cost peanuts.)#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
