Broken entertainment system on AC865 nov. 29

  • Hi all !

    I was on AC865 LHR-YUL november 29. While on the ground in LHR, they try to repair the entertainement system and the reading lights but they didn't succede so we flew without it.

    Upon arrival in Montreal, Air Canada personel give the passengers a letter telling them that because of that, we will receive 5000 bonus Aéroplan miles.

    Is it the regular compensation for that kind of problem ? I would have prefer a cash compensation instead of 5000 difficult to use miles. 7h30 without entertainement was loooooooong and it was even difficult to read because the light were broken and the little snake light at my seat was also not working.


  • I flew from YYZ-GRU (11.5 hours) once with no entertainment (someone forgot to load the headsets apparently)......and we received NADA. You were lucky.

    Entertainment System I could do without but no reading lights?! That's just unacceptable...
